The Shoreline Tracer app requires the Windows 10 OS Build 17763 or greater. To determine your Windows 10 version, type "winver" in the Cortana search text box.

To download the sideload package, click Shoreline Tracer 2.0.0.0.zip.

To install programs, you need to sign-in to your computer's "Administrator" user account.

First

You need to set your Windows 10 computer to allow you to install (sideload) applications that do not have a code-signed certificate from a certified authority. I provide a self-signed certificate because I cannot afford the yearly certified certificate fees. The certification is to prove I am who I claim to be.

Instead of displaying "Publisher: DJM Questor Software" and because the cerificate is self-signed, the Microsoft store has assigned a publisher code and the certificate will display "Publisher: C0D60DD1-DB1C-401F-B5EA-09B27D5803B0".

To set-up your computer,

1. In the Cortana search box, type "developer settings" and select and the command. Alternatively, select the Windows Settings -> Update and Security -> For Developers commands. Windows will open the related user settings form.

2. In the "For Developers" settings form, turn-on the "Developer Mode" and click the "Yes" button in the verification form.

Second

1. When you click the download link "Shoreline Tracer 2.0.0.0.zip" on the download web-page, Windows will download the file to your download folder. When notified that the download completed, open the "Downloads" folder and find the downloaded file.

2. To extract (unzip) the file, click the mouse right-button on the downloaded zip-file icon. Windows will open a popup menu. In the menu, select the "Extract All..." command. Windows will open the extractor form. In the form and for convenience and without changing the file-path, extract the folder in the download folder. To extract the zipped folder, click the "Extract" button.

3. Open the unzipped "Shoreline Tracer 2.0.0.0" folder.

4. First: In the folder file-listing, install the app certificate "Shoreline_Tracer_Package_2.0.0.0_x64.cer". To install the certificate, double click the mouse left-button on the certificate icon or click the mouse right-button and in the popup menu, select the "Open" command.

5. Second: In the folder file-listing, double click (open) the "Shoreline Tracer 2.0.0.0.appxbundle" icon. The installer form will open. In the "Install Shoreline Tracer" form, click the "Install" button."

6. If Windows does not install the program, you might need to use an alternate sideload method. To use the alternate method, click the mouse right-button on the "Add-AppDevPackage.ps1" file icon and in the popup menu, select the "Run with Powershell" command. Answer "Y" or "Yes" to the prompts.

At this point, if all goes well, Windows will install and launch the application. As a side note, there is additional information on the Internet on what sideloading is and "how to sideload Windows 10 apps".
